Morewood bikes is a Proudly South African company, and thats not an expression they take lightly. Five out of seven of their boutique mountain bike frames are dreamed up, painstakingly designed and carefully manufactured in Pietermaritzbug South Africa. The remaining two tick two out of three of those boxes- being made in asia using proprietary parts making them exclusive to Morewood.

This “outsourcing” operation is done simply to allow Morewood increased capacity and the ability to reach lower price-points. Their goal, as one of the few remaining companies in the world who actually produce their own product, is to offer their clients uncompromised bicycle designs which aren’t lathered in marketing hype and promises of “out of this world” performance, choosing rather to offer real world benefits backed up by attention to detail and an understanding of their clients needs.
